2023.06.28 120 Members in the Syndicate Bank of CIP Had Participated in the CFXD Wind Farm Inspection

Chang-Fang and Xi-Dao Wind Farm syndicate bank and shareholders visited the wind farm, infrastructure, and local supply chain for the first time after the epidemic, then finished a two-and-a-half-day observation and study on Jun. 28.

CIP issued a press release stating that the syndicate bank showed great recognition to Chang-Fang and Xi-Dao Wind Farm and urged that the project must be completed by the end of this year as planned.

CIP pointed out that the and syndicate bank was large strong, with more than 120 members, including shareholders of the Chang-Fang and Xi-Dao Wind Farm, 25 domestic and foreign financial institutions, and representatives of sovereign export credits from seven countries in Europe and Asia. Syndicate bank visited the Chang-Fang and Xi-Dao Wind Farm under construction and the No. 36 wind turbine pre-assembly base in Taichung Port on Jun. 27, and inspected Century Wind Power's foundation production base in Taipei Port on the 28th.

Dennis Sanou, CEO of Chang-Fang and Xi-Dao Wind Farm, said that with the joint efforts of the project team and domestic and foreign suppliers, the construction is progressing smoothly, with all 186 pin-piles installed, more than 44 foundations completed, and 16 wind turbines installed. As CFXD & ZN offshore windfarm O&M base has been seriously delayed for more than two years, he called on the central and local governments to accelerate the progress to port operation as quickly as possible so that the O&M team can provide services in a timely manner to ensure stable power supply.

Marina Hsu, Managing Director of CIP Taiwan, thanked the syndicate bank for the attendance and recognition and also thanked the government for its determination to speed up the review process of the electric business license.

Chang-Fang and Xi-Dao Wind Farm is located off the coast of Changhua, having been allocated 600MW capacity in the 2018 by Bureau of Energy (BOE), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), in offshore wind selection, and a total of 62 Vestas V174-9.5MW wind turbines are installed. The wind farm is now owned by CIP, Taiwan Life Insurance Co., TransGlobe Life Insurance Inc., and PTT Public Company Limited.
