2025.12 Century Wind Power - Signs an Agreement with the “Rehabilitated Enterprises Program”
Many formerly incarcerated individuals face significant challenges after their release due
to limited educational backgrounds, insufficient job skills, and persistent social stigma.
These barriers often make it difficult for them to secure employment,
pushing them to the margins of society. In response to this social issue,
Century Wind Power has partnered with the Shilin District Prosecutors Office
and the Shilin Branch of the Aftercare Association for Ex-Offenders to officially join the
“Rehabilitated Enterprises Program.” Through corporate participation
and cross-sector collaboration, the initiative aims to help rehabilitated individuals
return to the workforce and rebuild their connection with society.
Century Wind Power provides a stable and supportive working environment,
enabling rehabilitated individuals to develop practical skills and regain self-confidence through
meaningful employment. By reducing the risk of discouragement and recidivism,
the company demonstrates its commitment to addressing social needs through concrete action
and responsible corporate engagement.
At the signing event, a rehabilitated individual, Ah-Hao, shared his personal journey.
He candidly reflected on a period in his past when he lost direction and felt uncertain
about his future. Through participation in the Rehabilitated Enterprises Program,
he regained a sense of trust and purpose. He noted that although steel is strong,
it must be properly shaped to become useful—and people are no different.
Only with acceptance and support from society can individuals move toward
a positive and meaningful life.
Chairman Wen-Hsiang Lai of Century Wind Power stated,
“Helping society gain one more good person is more valuable than earning an extra profit.”
He believes that rehabilitated individuals are like steel refined through intense heat;
with proper guidance and opportunities, they can become resilient
and dependable contributors to society.
Over the years, the Century Group has continuously employed rehabilitated individuals,
actively engaging in social issues through practical actions to help prevent reoffending
and strengthen the social safety net. Looking ahead, Century Wind Power will continue
to promote the development of rehabilitated enterprises, working alongside all sectors
of society to build a more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable future.
