Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Management
According to the industry characteristics of the metal processing and manufacturing industry,
most of the suppliers of Century Wind Farm are raw materials and equipment suppliers and
companies contracting construction works. CWP has established the “Supplier Management
Procedure,” which implements effective management of upstream suppliers through open
preliminary review, registration qualification, and periodic evaluation processes. In addition,
product quality, delivery achievement, and coordination in cooperating with order adjustment
are used as the key standards for periodic evaluation for suppliers. Furthermore, for workers of
contractors at the plant site, the result of their compliance with the internal Occupational Health
and Safety and environmental protection rules is used as the key evaluation item.
In 2023, there were a total of 239 domestic/foreign suppliers, with 90.79% domestic and 9.21%
foreign. The suppliers are divided into six major categories: hardware parts and consumables,
material supply, equipment cooperation, procedure cooperation, construction cooperation,
environmental cooperation, and others; suppliers providing equipment cooperation account for
the most.
Supply Evaluation
CWP implements supplier evaluations at the end of each year. The items of company operation
status, technology capability, document record management status, environmental safety
performance, and overall cooperation are evaluated and tracked in order to be used as the
reference basis for future cooperation.
In 2023, 239 domestic and foreign suppliers participated in the evaluation.
The qualification (60 points) ratio was 100%, and 57% of suppliers recorded an evaluation
result of over 80 points. 49 new suppliers were evaluated. According to the selection standards
of the Company, all suppliers complied with the requirements. With future trends and
international requirements, higher attention is attached to social and environmental impacts.
At present, there is no significant environmental and social impact on CWP through examining
the selection data, background surveys, and analysis. In the future, it plans to include social
and environmental impacts in the formal supplier evaluation.
In 2023, the Company performed 29 field audits on suppliers and subcontractors.
The field construction operating environment and equipment maintenance and management
were used as the key audit items, and their deficiency improvement strategies were also tracked
continuously.
